The Roaming Stevens

The precious city of Adelaide is...THRIVING!  Because Tinto and I live in a regional, rural area, we do not get to the city that often and when we do it is normally a very rushed day filled with appointments and errands.  We always try to end the day with a wonderful meal.  We tell ourselves that we will branch out and go someplace new and enticing...yet, we always end up back at Amalfi's - TRIED AND TRUE. So, my fb page is blowing up and text messages are ever increasing because we are all REVIEWERS, aren't we?  And, don't you appreciate it when someone sees or experiences something they adore and are so excited about it that they simply cannot wait to tell you to 'GET THERE'? I know I do.  IF I can feel the joy and/or the excitement, it makes me want to go. 'WOW' ~ We actually made it to the 21st century; it's TRUE! Never shall I forget, upon my arrival to Kapunda, Down Unda', not far from Tanunda, and close to Eudunda , The Maxwell House, I asked Tinto where the 'button' was.   He just looked at me curiously.  Then he asked, 'What button?'  I responded by telling him it was the button that made the house cool or warm, 'You know, the central heating and air conditioning button.'   Well, that conversation right there tells you a LOT, doesn't it? And, mates, let me say this:  The Maxwell House did NOT look as it looks today.  Tinto has turned this house into a home.  It was so sad, so in need of loving care (which he has provided and I have, too), but, it was still very old and beautiful - to me.  Some people simply do not care for 'old' and I understand.  Truly.  We have different tastes and that is the way it should be or it would be a very boring planet, would it not?
