Hey, Hey, Hey Jupiter Brasserie Francaise~!
Well, realistically it's called 'Hey, Jupiter', but WHO CARES? It's all things French again ~ and it is tucked neatly away ~ on Ebenezer Place in Adelaide.
WHO KNEW? My most valued and splendid work colleague did and since 'her man' is a most fancy chef - one would think (agree) that THEY MIGHT KNOW SOME of the very best dining spots - new OR old. Hey Jupiter opened in 2012, but was completely transformed THIS YEAR.
This place is quirky, eccentric, lovely, splendid and quite divine in ALL areas.
You can sit outide at a small, cafe table - with guests surrounding you on one side on a banquette or you can choose an intimate table in the restaurant.
REMEMBER: ALL THINGS FRENCH ~ Soupe a L'oignon, escargots a L'ail, oysters, caviar (I know, I know - yes, your eyebrows will raise right over the top of your head, but hold on to them - you'll be fine - not everything on the menu is 'over the top' expensive.) And, A PERFECT SALADE NICOISE~Lord. Anchois cuca - anchovies on anything and everything you like. I think this is what Heaven will look like for me. Now, If I could just get my accent perfected...
Plus, what establishment that is considered fine dining is NOT expensive these days?
I'm not talking about wood-fired gourmet pizzas or the best fresh schnitzel on the planet - I'm talking about duck confit with duck fat potatoes, mussels steamed in white wine, Trout Menuiere Amandine, and the BEST gratin de chou-fleur (simply cauliflower gratin) - deliciously perfect.
