Still Stompin' in Bogart...PICS...'YAY' ~ Happy Days!

WHO on earth doesn't feel better after a big stomp in the outside air ~ especially IF it's COUNTRY AIR???

Honestly, I could not wait to hit the pavement today.  It was very brisk - had to keep the wind off of my face, but the sun was brilliant and the animals were out.  This time I went in a completely different direction and felt as if I walked back into time - when things were simple.   Nothing ostentatious.  Nothing.
Sweet, country livin' and the colour does not appear as brilliant as it did in person...a flag nestled between the limbs.

American flags hanging out all over the place, but...LOOK at this wrap around porch and bright door!

This place is talked about a lot; many people hanging about AND you can get your firewood here, too.  Wanted a closer look because I can be a bit inquisitive, but A BIG BLACK DOG ON A ROPE did not want me anywhere near.  Flags, a mirror attached to the front of the house AND a STOP sign, of course!

A little more colour on this fine day...
This place celebrates Christmas like you wouldn't believe.  Santa will be hanging out on the front verandah as will many other holiday characters; nice to see it in the non-season - really sweet.
I do love a manicured landscape!  Isn't this home simply lovely?
A large cactus across the road...
 More American flags...
For a town this small they certainly want you to know they have many different churches from which you can choose!  I bet there aren't 100 people out here.  Hmmmm...
Corner house; almost hidden behind this big, old tree.
Here is one of those 'Magnificent Southern Magnolias' but, sadly no magnolia blossoms.  This baby is massive.
Left all alone from a time long ago.
I am presuming this is town square.  Yep.  Must be...
City Hall right in the middle of the square - protected on both sides.
Dr. Cobb's office; my Mother's maiden name; don't see many Cobbs in Memphis anymore.  There is a big Cobb County in Georgia though!
This had to be an ice cream parlor once upon a time; wouldn't you agree?
Hmmmmm...people always wonder if it's nicer across the train tracks?
Looks pretty much the same to me.  Simple, country living.
Spring has almost sprung and the tulips are jumping for JOY.
Ma & Pa can sit together on their front porch and watch the flowers grow and the people.  WHERE ARE THE PEOPLE?

See?  Look at this wonderfully warm and welcoming home.

Reminds me of Cordova, Tennesse where I grew up as a child before it became the Cordova it is today.  It was much nicer 55+ years ago because it 'felt AND looked' this way and there was no violence.  None.
Another Magnificent Magnolia and either the town or the resident is doing its best to KEEP it growing even though it is in the wrong path.  Poor baby.
This tree is divided between the power line, too.  Looks as if it has had enough.
Where are the cows?  Where are the goats???  Much nicer to have animals to sing to when I take the longer route.
Ha!  Those with good eyes...see that grey and white speck on the fence? This little friend hopped from section to section as I walked along.  He wants to BE IN PICTURES when he grows up!
Now, do not get toooooo close to this front paddock where horses and ponies are grazing because there are three fairly large faces and I do believe...they are just putting on a show!

ALL he really wants is a cuddle and a big kiss!
No one noticed me at all except for the dogs; everyone grazing and living the peaceful life in Bogart.
Back at home after a nice, long stomp - looking forward to tomorrow and going back to my normal route.  We shall find out what's in store.  Ivy Creek...newer, but still sweet and simple country living.

Cheers from Blanco of The Roaming Stevens...
All Stomped Out.
