Food Truck Park ~ Thornbury, VIctoria AUSTRALIA

High Street on Sundays in Thornbury - DON'T MISS IT!

You'll see a gathering of food trucks and you will smell spicy aromas wafting through the air.  There is a certain peace and liveliness about the place.  Huge, enticing bar as you enter with everything on offer.   Well, NO, not true; this was a Sunday and I am most distressed, disappointed and SHOCKED that not one BLOODY MARY was in sight.  A bit rude, wouldn't you agree?  I gave the handsome bartender a bit of a sweet scolding.  He did agree that a decent Bloody Mary would be a huge hit!  Had to suffer with Mimosas, but heaps of local beer was available and hand-made original cocktails, too; some made with elderberries and looked a bit like alien creatures floating in a tall, cool glass.  I wasn't that brave.

Arrive early or as soon as you feel like a brisk walk on a Sunday.  Bring your beloved dog, too = that's always a plus.  Grab a table in the open air patio...wait with your cold beverage...take a walk amongst the food trucks and try to make a selection, then...you'll hear the DJ warming up and this guy HAD THE MUSIC up his sleeve; jazz, a bit of Amy Winehouse...Etta James...the music that soothes your soul and makes your spirit smile and sends a few chills up your spine. I truly could have spent the day listening to this wonderful man's music.  The day was made even better because it was spent outside and with family.

So - GO.  Go to Thornbury.  Visit the open air food truck area with a massive bar and outstanding ambience.  You will be happy you did.

CHEERS from a beautiful, happy face~!
Perfect family or single or couple outing!!!

Thanks, Thornbury for a super dayAnd, YES, that IS Chuck Norris painted on the wall
in the background.
Why?  As my outstanding 'other daughter' (pictured below) says, 'WHY NOT?'

A happy, groovy place you need to experience on a Sunday~!

I wish Kapunda or the Barossa Valley would adopt this.
What a treat it would be for everyone!  Lazy, happy, jammin' day.
WE LIKE THORNBURY.
