My Kapunda STOMP!

BASKING IN WINE, WOOL, and WHEAT country...

'WOW' again ~ it is so easy to slip right back into gentle Kapunda life.

It is also very easy to forget what you enjoy and love about a place.

Tinto and I LOVE the quiet ~ the stillness, the pitch black skies with their sparkling, twinkling diamond stars.  WE enjoy the night skies almost every single evening.  Oooooooh, and did I mention drinking some of THE MOST OUTRAGEOUSLY fine South Australian wine almost every night, too?  South Australians KNOW how to make this magic liquid.

We are fortunate to have returned to perfect weather.  Please, though...Spirit in the Sky...Kapunda and surrounding area desperate for rain.

Thinking we live in one pretty spectacular place to discover nature and STOMP!

SEE BELOW:  This is my view of yesterday afternoon's walk!  YAHOO.

Can you even SEE the sheep?  For a minute I thought
they were coming to tell me 'Hello'!
Wide, open paddocks ~ absolutely BRILLIANT DAY!
 The sheep match the paddock.
This pleasant road leads to home after having
a cuppa with a 'more than fabulous mate'!
Massive fallen tree - bet she used to be a beauty.
Howdy Cows~!  Yes, I do prefer them to be grazing in open paddocks.
They were very comfortable and relaxed while
watching me with big, open eyes.  I didn't go any closer...
didn't want to stir them.
How wonderful to have horses.  Once you've had them,
it's hard NOT to live with them.
Many birds, especially galahs, eat the tops of the trees.

They certainly don't look very happy.

Cows, cows, everywhere.  These beings are ultra happy
when not behind bars.  Imagine that...

SHADOW ART.  A salute to Mother Nature!??!
 Over the hill...heading into Kapunda.
DRY.  DRY.  DRY.
A little more than 3 miles left to go...
Take a look at this old ruin.
I used to jog by this 4 years ago; hmmmmm...
WALKING now.

 Palms sprinkled throughout the landscape.
Many other winding dirt roads to discover...
Over 11,000 steps and a little more daylight left.
I have an entire kitchen to put together now.
CHEERS from Blanco
of The Roaming Stevens!
PS~To family and mates using WhatsApp - still having a bit
of difficulty - hope to be connected sometime today.
HAPPY, SAFE ROAMING TO YOU.
GET OUT THERE and DISCOVER YOUR BACKYARD!
