Noosa Heads ~ Queensland

Noosa Heads is a little over 130 kilometres north of Brisbane, Queensland's capital.

It seems to be a get away for everyone!  It's located on the Sunshine Coast and the waters look pristine.  We travelled to this area during the school holidays and it was densely populated at the time, but not horribly so!  We endured it and we engaged and, truly, it IS a delightful place to view.  Sweeping views of the coastline from the national park area and everything is quiet and peaceful throughout the day - no rush - no worries.  Super attitudes.

Before we headed to Noosa we spent time with Tinto's youngest daughter and her good mate.  We met THE most important and stately Irish Setter I have ever met before.  His name is Otis and his coat is THE most glorious auburn colour I've ever seen.  He's only 1 year old...perhaps that's why his coat is still so absolutely brilliant.

Wish we had done a bit of kayaking through the Noosa Everglades, but it wasn't that kind of trip.  It was a chill trip!  Wish we could have hopped on horses in The Mary Valley - or the North Shore, but I am not quite certain I could have convinced Tinto to try it.  I miss horses and riding.  This would have been a particularly beautiful place to explore.   We were able to spend a bit of time on Peregian Beach AND there was a Marcus Beach, too!  How we MISSED Marcus Beach entirely is beyond me...

Many people retire to Noosa Heads; high-rises in abundance.  I could not do that, but it appears that business and retirement is thriving in Noosa.  Real estate prices anywhere in the world surrounded by beautiful beaches are extravagantly high.  People do PAY FOR A VIEW, don't they?  I can't see farmers leaving the property they've worked their entire lives to land in a high-rise.  That mental picture doesn't work for me!

In any event - short flight from Adelaide and well worth the new sights and sounds and features of a lovely Sunshine Coastal town; hope you get a chance to visit when you can.

This guy is a champ and thinks he is one of us!

 See?  Everyone is chillin'...

LOOK AT THIS COLOUR~WOMEN PAY FOR THIS COLOUR!!!

My man, Tinto, roams well;

CASTRO's is THE PLACE - go before driving out to Noosa.
They have their own bottle shop and feature wines at bottle shop

Thanks to these 2 precious people on the planet...

Nice, short jaunt with sweeping views...
These 2 were not afraid of anyone
OR anything.  They were a bit demanding!

Miss Moneypenny's ~ we FOUND you!
Slightly overcast, but...see?  No one rushing; everyone tranquil.
 SEASON - restaurant below located
right ON THE BEACH.
Don't be as silly as we were...yes, we got in and
the meals in THIS PLACE are divine, but we
barely GOT IN.  Bookings preferred.  Always.  Always.
Always.  It's an Australian 'thang'.
 Everything from wine...to presentation...to service...

GO.
Very thankful they found a place for us -
this was dessert.
A little wander before heading off...

Ooops!  Tide came in ~ someone got stuck???
Interesting; looks ancient to me and LUSH grounds surrounding us, too.

Bush turkeys ALL AROUND US!  I wish the pic showed their bright RED-NECKS!  Ha!  They are not that shy and I cannot begin to imagine their numbers!

Roam to Noosa Heads when you get some extra time OR put it on your bucket list if you're heading to Brisbane anytime in the near future.

Posted by Blanco ~ thankful for the slight and care-free interruption to renovating.
The Roaming Stevens - STAY SAFE ON THE ROADS.
